Environmental Policy

Bostik Australia Pty Ltd is a major manufacturer of Adhesives (solvent, water and 100% solids based) Sealants, Automotive Bitumen and Polyurethane Sound Deadening Components.These products are sold into the Consumer and Industrial Markets.

Bostik operates four Manufacturing and Warehousing facilities around Australia, all of which operate under and adhere to this Environmental Policy.

Bostik is part of the Total Group of Companies and adopts the “Total Health Safety Environment Quality Charter”.

Bostik is committed to:

Identifying and managing the Environmental risks associated with our operations and products in order to minimise our Environmental impact.
Ensuring we conduct our activities and services and produce our products in a manner that complies with applicable legislation and regulations, environmental or otherwise and other requirements to which Bostik subscribes.
Ensuring we conduct our activities and services and produce our products in a manner that minimises waste and prevents pollution.
The continual improvement of our operations and environmental performance through recurring reviews and appropriate measures.
Reducing our use of natural resources and generation of waste through regular setting and reviewing of objectives and targets and associated Action Plans.
Communicating this Policy to all persons working for or on behalf of Bostik and ensuring the understanding of the policy’s intentions and the requirements to achieve these intentions.
Openness and honesty in reporting environmental performance to our employees, stakeholders, business partners and the community.
Implementing this policy through an Environmental Management System. The Environmental Management System at the Thomastown facility is certified to the ISO 14001 standard.
